Phase-2: Heavy-Weight Outdoor Testbed (Fall 04-)

• Goal: Investigate operational issues on a larger testbed

• How: Operational Internet access BETWEEN meeting rooms and offices

  • Host/Network/Nested mobility, Vertical handoffs
  • Crossing domain boundaries: IP Security, Access Control
  • Implement, test and contribute our solutions to improve performance:
    • Seamless handoffs, NEMO Extended Support (Routing Optimization), auto-configuration
  • Collect data, conduct performance analysis

• Testbed

  • Access Network:
    • Operational IPv6 access network operated by carrier
    • 802.11, AirH, Ethernet
  • Internet access in test vehicles (private car and bus)
  • PANs (bicycles, people: PDA enabled as a mobile router)
