Nautilus Phase 1: Light-Weigth Outdoor Testbed (Jan.04-05)

• Goal: Demonstrate the combination of host-mobility + network-mobility and benefit of multhoming

• How: On-the-Move adaptative video-conferencing and live remote monitoring

  • Scenario: Live video conferencing from office then from vehicle, using distinct access mediums, without disruption of service. Flow(s) is adapted to bandwidth.

• Testbed

  • Access Networks: 802.11, AirH, Ethernet
  • PAN on a bicycle (easy to carry to conferences, etc)
    • Navigation, communication, sensors
    • Web Cam Mobility: Mobile IPv6
    • Bicycle Mobility: NEMO
    • Vertical handoffs: interface switching, MR switching
